Azan Supercntre Heroes Day Promotion 2022 – Terms and Conditions

  1. Premise

Promotional contest to be held over Instagram, where persons submit a user created video, explaining who their personal hero is, and why. Top two videos with the most likes at the end of the review period will be awarded prizes.

    4. The Promotion and its entrants are in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram or any other social media used throughout the promotion

  2. Dates

    1. The promotion opens September 30, 2022 and closes October 18, 2022.

    2. Entrants must submit their videos before October 12, 2022.

    3. Submissions after October 12 will not be considered

          1. This is to ensure the fairest exposure of the content by ALL entrants, to allow for the most possible views and likes.

    4. Videos will be reposted by Azan Supercentre after October 3, 2022

    5. From the period October 12 to October 17 videos will accumulate interest, likes and engagements on the Azan Supercentre Instagram page. 

    6. The winners will be announced on October 18, 2022

  3.  Entrants

    1. The contest is open to residents of Jamaica

    2. Employees of Azan Supercentre are NOT eligible for entry

          1. However, their family members are free to enter.

    3. Entrants must have their OWN Instagram account, and post using same.

          1. This is to ensure correct ownership of content per account

    4. Entrants may only have 1 entry per account, and one account per entry. please see clarification

          1. The same account cannot post multiple entries.  In a case where a singular account makes multiple posts, we reserve the right to only consider the first video posted. and the same video content cannot be posted from multiple accounts.

          2. The same content should not be posted from multiple accounts. In a case where the content is posted multiple times, we reserve the right to ONLY use the content seen by Azan Supercentre first.

  4. Submission of Entries

    1. By submitting an entry, entrants confirm that all content used within the video is owned by the entrant or due permission has been acquired for usage of content within.

    2. Entrants must not tag any person or entity that is not present in the content.

    3. If Azan Supercentre suspects that there is any issue (legal, rights, safety etc) with the content, we reserve the right to not repost the content.

    4. Entrants agree that any content submitted for the promotion may be reshared and reposted by Azan Supercentre freely with no reservation on time or forum.

    5. Entrants must like the Azan Supercentre Instagram (IG) page

    6. Entrants must post a video to their personal IG page, with the content explaining who their hero is, and why.

          1. Hero mentioned can be any real person or animal, whether living or not. 

    7. @azansupercentre must be tagged in the post.

    8. Video must be tagged with the following hashtags

          1. #ASCMyHero

          2. #JamaicaHeroesDay

    9. Video should not be longer than 30 seconds

    10. Entrants should then share their video to Azan Supercentre via Direct Message over Instagram. 

    11. Azan Supercentre will repost the videos after submissions have been closed

    12. Entries submitted after the cut off date will not be considered

  1. Winners

    1. Winners are chosen, based on the number of likes on the video content, posted on the Azan Supercentre IG page,  at the end of the period – October 17, 2022

    2. There will be one grand prize winner, and one runner up, or 2nd place winner.

    3. Winners will be announced on October 18, 2022

    4. Winners will be announced on Azan Supercentre Social Media pages

          1. The winning account will be tagged in the post

          2. The winning accounts will be sent a message via Direct Message on Instagram, using the same account that submitted the content.

    5. Entrants agree that if they are selected as a winner for the promotion, to pick up their prize within 14 working days of the announcement of the winner. 

    6. Winners must agree to having their image utilised in content, regarding the distribution of the prizes for the promotion.

          1. This content may be used by Azan Supercentre in any mass media, (social or traditional) for a period of 24 months after the promotion ends.

    7. If a prize is not collected after 14 days, Azan Supercentre and its affiliates reserve the right to withhold the prize for future promotions.

    8. Entrants must agree that the prizes given to the winners will be seen as the totality of winnings to be given to the winners, and no additional benefits, compensation or accommodation will be due to the entrants.

          1. Winners will be required to sign a document to this effect, upon receiving their prize.

    9. If either winner is an account holder under the age of 16, they must indicate this, and a Parent or Legal Guardian must authorise the collection of the associated prize. The parent or legal guardian must attend the prize handover.

  2. Prizes

    1. The prize for the most liked content is 1 JSW Smart TV, courtesy of JSW

          1. The prize will be delivered in person to the 1st place awardee, or their designate at the Azan Supercentre location in Kingston

          2. The prize will be handed over by representatives of JSW and Azan Supercentre

    2. The prize for the second most liked content is One Small Appliance courtesy of Azan Supercentre

          1. Options will be given to the prize winner.

          2. The prize will be delivered in person to the 2nd place awardee, or their designate at the Azan Supercentre Location in Kingston.

    3. All winners must present valid identification in order to receive the assigned prizes.
